Nail-it Coffee Table

The series of coffee tables I weld with 10cm nails are viewed by some as too violent. The nails are sharp, they resemble barbed fences and may seem too cold. But nails for me as a builder are my loyal friends. They connect materials; they hold them firm together; they add strength to what could be a frail structure, and do it with modesty. I like to see how one skinny fragile nail, bunched together with others gives a sense of strength and unity albeit being randomly welded. In the next series I may paint them. That may alleviate some of their harshness to those who feel somewhat uncomfortable.
